Most of us can agree that any form of in-person human interaction is preferable to the alternative, but in the world today, what’s preferable is not our reality. In the past few weeks, COVID-19 has taken over our lives and as a result, has forced most of us to work from home. So what does that mean for in-person meetings, coffee trips, and company practices? Since social distancing does not permit any of those things, we are forced to retreat to our computers and take on life virtually. At first thought, this seems less than ideal, but there’s actually plenty of ways to make going virtual valuable.
Timely, personal responses
A timely response is probably the easiest and most intentional way to provide value to your customers during this digital age. If your customers reach out to you via email, phone, or text, take the time to answer their questions and concerns within a short period of time. This would be a great opportunity to suggest a video meeting or group conference to retain personality. If you find yourself busy, establish a schedule, maybe every hour on the hour, that you will reply to your clients.
The high-speed work environment most people operate in on a daily basis can often result in the dismissal of less important, but still necessary, tasks. Working from home enables people to slow down, evaluate what really needs to be done, and hopefully, in a less hectic space, can allocate time to get some of those backburner projects done.
Make sure your chatbot is updated
If you have a chatbot on your website, it is crucial that it is up to date and operating efficiently. Everyone is in front of their computers and surfing the web right now. Make sure that your bot is available and ready to respond to potential leads on the most visited pages on your site.
It’s no secret that working from home boosts productivity. There are fewer distractions and more freedom to schedule your day in a way that works best for you. The key to performing well digitally is to show your clients that you are readily available to answer any questions or concerns they may have. Show them that despite the lack of face-to-face interaction, you can still provide outstanding value to their business.
If it seems easier said than done, feel free to reach out to the LeadCoverage team and schedule a meeting. This can be a challenging undertaking as everyone transitions from in-office to working from home, and we want to do everything we can to help you provide the best service to your customers.
